The New Jersey Counseling Association’s Public Policy & Legislative Issues Committee (PPLIC) helps elevate counselor and client voice in the laws and policies that shape our work.
The American Counseling Association (ACA) identifies advocacy as a core professional responsibility. As counselors, we are called to promote social justice by speaking up for the individuals, families, and communities we serve.
Committee members meet monthly to review priority bills and facilitate advocacy opportunities.
