John A. MacDonald, JD, MA, NCC, LPC (“Mac”), Chairperson of the Ethics Committee, is honored to continue to be a member of NJCA and of service to the NJ Professional Counseling community.  Mac specializes in treating addiction-related and complex trauma mental health disorders at The Counseling Center at Robbinsville and in private practice at JohnAMacDonaldLPC@CounselorMac.com.

He has served in a variety of offices for NJCA over the past 8 years.  Mac has received numerous counseling-related awards, including inclusion in Who’s Who in America, 2021-22 and the 2019 NJCA President’s Award for Volunteerism.  He has long record of fighting for labor, social justice, and environmental causes and has been repeatedly recognized in his prior legal career.  More recently, he has taught addictions counseling at the graduate school level and has presented over a dozen well-attended CE presentations at NJCA Annual Conferences.
