Overview

A mentor is someone who takes interest in the professional and career development of a junior colleague by providing guidance and support. Genuine commitment on the part of both the mentor and mentee is required for a successful mentoring relationship. A mentor provides knowledge, advice, resources and role modeling. A mentor is not a personal counselor or clinical supervisor but does guide the counselor on his or her professional path.

Do you have a special skill or talent that you’d like to bring to an NJCA event? We’d love to hear from you! NJCA is a not-for-profit organization that’s run entirely by volunteers within the community. Our volunteers help organize, manage, and market events and the daily tasks of the organization.
